Wool Merchant

My father started buying wool shortly after setting up the Butcher shop in Sneem. Wool is a natural by-product of sheep farming and when you are travelling to different farms buying animals, it made sense to buy the wool as well. To facilitate the trade of wool my father had set up a depot in Waterville every Friday. Farmers would bring wool to him here and he would return home late in the evening.

I spent many hours travelling with my father in the truck collecting wool from farmers. We have clients that have been with us spanning generations. The store in Waterville is long since gone, but we still buy the wool all over South Kerry. We buy wool all year round and offer a weigh and pay collection.
